AIMS science is a great resource to supplement your current science curriculum. It is geared towards classroom use. Would be great for a secular co-op.
The pages in this activity book are fun and engaging. Here is a link to a preview of the Earth book. The workbook is 481 pages and has a price-tag of $49.95. It is for grade 6-9. The great thing is it is REPRODUCIBLE! From a CD that is INCLUDED!.I am all about making copies and not writing in the book. So this was a plus! It is not Christian based. That said, we then have great discussions!
This activity book covers Hydrosphere, Geosphere, and Atmosphere and how they interact. It also aligns with state standards AND lists the standards it meets. If you have ever done virtual school you know how great that is to have already done for you.
My kids enjoyed this science. They are hands on learners and this was just up their alley. It does take a bit of planning ahead on moms part to make sure you have the supplies needed for the lesson. Mostly available from household materials.
