Build Your Blog Conference
If you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw that I got to attend the Build Your Blog Conference on the 20 & 21st of February. I had been eyeing this conference for awhile because it was so close to me. By close I mean MUCH closer than South Carolina where I went in October.
I received an e-mail regarding sponsorships from Taste of Home. I thought “hey that’s cool. I should apply.’ So I did. Then I forgot about it.
I woke up Saturday the 14th and saw that Melissa from Pioneering Today was looking for a roommate for the conference. I thought “Hey. I wonder if I got a sponsorship.” So I checked my e-mail and sure enough I DID! Taste of Home had sponsored my ticket to attend.
Let the planning begin!
I decided to drive because it was going to be cheaper than flying. I had just been to Salt Lake City in September for the dōTERRA convention. The Principal and I drove and it was no big thing. Well. It was a 12 hour no big thing. A tad longer than I recall. Tammy at Trayer Wilderness joined me so it ended being a Prepper Girls road trip.
This was my first Build Your Blog conference, and I will say I will go again next year.
I learned more in this 2 day conference than the other conferences combined.
My favorite take aways:
Start with Why? What is your Why? What is my Why? I blog and share with you all my knowledge of preparedness and essential oil wellness. My goal is to help you on your own journey.

This conference was really well organized for the amount of people that were there.
The Fun Stuff
Toto, we aren’t in Kansas anymore. WOAH was this hotel fancy! I think I may want to stay here for doTERRA Convention in September.
Might be a Blogger if……
That view though!
And another view!
If I could do breakfast with these ladies once a week it would be amazing! You know when you meet somebody new for the first time and you just click? Being a prepper makes for an interesting dynamic with friendships as well as topics to talk about. Bonus, these ladies were also bloggers! There wasn’t ever awkward silence. After our sessions at the conference we would go back to our hotel room and process with each other what we had just learned. It was so great!
I was so blessed to get to attend this conference and am already implementing all I learned. Watch for new content and a few changes in the near future!
