Memorial Day we went to a Civil War re-enactment. This wasn’t our first time. Missed last year because the kids and I were on Road trip 2010 to visit my cousins in Minnesota. And to say ‘see you later’ to my cousin Jamie. I blogged here about one previous visit to the re-enactment. This year the price went way up…the last time we went it was $11 Monday we paid $10 per adult and $5 per child. There were a few changes that I noticed in the camps. Not enough to warrant $25 admission though
Below are pictures I managed to get. The kids went off with friends so not many, if any, with them.
I do believe this is a replica….correct me if I am wrong…you know, if you are a history buff.

Pictures of camp. The middle is set up as one would be for a family….love the miniature bunk bed in the 3rd picture
For my friend from Alabama
getting ready to march to the battlefield
watching the battle….thankfully the sun came out and took the chill off.
My next School Outside the Classroom post is about what we did after the re-enactment…..watch for it next Friday
Below are the same pictures above that I used my iPhone apps to play with…..
