This is part of my series Homeschooling with Netflix

This list is our favorites about Ancient History.

Cleopatra
“This epic saga of love, greed and betrayal stars Elizabeth Taylor as the Egyptian queen who’s determined to hold on to the throne and seduces Roman emperor Julius Caesar. When Caesar is murdered, she redirects her attentions to his general.”

Drive Thru History
“Emphasizing the positive role that Christianity played in the development of Western civilization, this fast-and-furious series hosted by Dave Stotts takes viewers on a journey through the sites and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome and Asia Minor.”
We especially LOVE this series.

The Great Inca Rebellion
“Based on physical evidence recovered from the remains of those who died in battle and stunning reenactments produced with CGI animation, the program suggests that the Spanish assault on the ancient civilization may have lasted as long as 20 years.”

How Beer Saved the World
“Did you know that beer was critical to the birth of civilization? That’s right — beer. Scientists and historians line up to tell the amazing, untold story of how beer helped create maths, poetry, Pyramids, modern medicine, labor laws and America.”
This one caught The Principal’s eye :)

Pompeii: The Last Day

“Take a step back in time via this engrossing program and visit the fabled “vanished city” on its last day, when Vesuvius erupted in a 24-hour reign of terror that covered the ancient town with tons of lava and mummified many of its inhabitants.”
We watched this after reading Magic Treehouse
