Last week while at Silverwood I read. I have been able to read alot now that Emily and Jesse can go play without me hanging by them. As long as they see where I am sitting and they check in we are good.
My most current read is Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit. I am not a quiet person by nature. Okay, put me in a room with people I hardly know and I am quiet. Upset me and I yell….loud….I have even been known to cuss :::gasp::: I know. When I am PMS’ing ya’all better just stay away :( Thanks to new meds and the dx of PMDD, I have that under control. Well, since reading this book and a LOT of prayer…..pray without ceasing type of prayer…..I have had a WONDERFUL week and a half. I actually can’t remember when I took my meds last…..only a few days, but still. I also have made Flylady my homepage so she is always “in my face.”
I don’t know if the kids, or even Dave have noticed. I don’t really care as it isn’t about them….it
is about Him helping me. I feel so much more calm, slow to “freak out”…..and if you know me and the different personalities (to be PC about it LOL)I deal with daily, you know this is HUGE.
God has laid on my heart to get it together again…I used to be great at frugal shopping etc. I have totally fallen off of that wagon….and with gas pushing $4 here….I know in some places it already has….I need to really get back on the wagon.
Today I went to www.organized home.com and printed off the forms for my freezer and pantry to see what I have in there. With the exception of milk, I am good for a very long time. I put these forms in those plastic sleeves and taped them to the same closet door that has my homeschool plan for the year.
Another area God is saying…okay the kids are doing great, BUT what about math. Jesse is READING FOR FUN!!! A year ago I totally quit bugging him to read….now he is reading Magic Tree House FOR FUN!!! He said today they should have American Boy not just American Girl, which is what Emily is reading. Both series are history related…..I would call them “living history” not text booky at all…..another series is Little House….
Another area I am doing well in is laundry and general house upkeep….and packing the cooler when we go to town….not grabbing fast food.
I think I am going to really anjoy A Meek and Quiet Spirit
