5 Survival Items I Would Buy if I Found $100
5 Survival items I would buy if I found $100.
$100 won’t get you everything on this list, you would have to choose.
These could be survival or prepper items.
This list could be exhaustive, but these are the first things to come to mind.
Kelly Kettle
To boil water to make it safe to drink or cook with.
These burn fuel that you have on hand. Super easy to use.
Available in Aluminium or Stainless Steel, the Kelly Kettle is essentially a double-walled chimney with the water contained within the chimney wall. Once the camp kettle is filled with water, simply start a very small fire in the base, set the kettle on the base and drop additional fuel down the chimney (natural environmentally friendly fuels such as twigs, leaves, grass, paper, dry-animal dung, etc.!)- Kelly Kettle
First Aid Kit
While our medical preps are not a kit, we do have kits in our Go Bags and vehicles.
Seed Vault
You are going to need a way to grow food. You can’t grow food without seeds.
If you have any extra cash throw in a book specific to your area on growing food.
Beans and Rice
You could just go to a membership warehouse and buy $100 worth of the 25 pound bags.
I would like to shake things up a bit and add variety to my beans and rice.
I would to the grocery store or Cash n Carry and get 15 Bean soup, and a large variety of smaller bags of beans.
I would also add a few flavors of rice. Not the boxes, but maybe a few smaller bags of anything but plain white rice.
Ammo
One can never have enough ammo. We do with ammo like extra cans of food, if there’s a box of a particular kind we get one.
I would also throw in an extra mag if they are available for your particular gun.
What would you add to this list?

Good list … definitely want to stock up on seeds and ammo
Seed for sure! Hadn’t thought of ammo either…If I had to choose, I’d pick seeds.
I think people overlook toiletries and sanitary items when they are doing their prepping. If everything falls apart women are going to be scavenging for pads and tampons after a few months. In addition, other sanitary items are important for health. Just because the world falls apart doesn’t mean we shouldn’t stay clean. It sort of goes along with the first aid kit, but things as simple as soap, shampoo, toothpaste etc are overlooked in spite of their importance.
Great list! Thanks for sharing!
I just purchased my first washable pads. But yes, they should be on this list! Thank you
Great list of suggestions!
I’d add some type of tool or knife, backup method for fire, makeshift shelter like a tarp etc.
You totally are a guy lol I didn’t even think of those thing cause The Principal has them covered. But, yes, thank you for suggesting!
