The evolution of my blog began seven years ago. Like most new bloggers, I started so I could keep extended family updated on our day to day.
A little over a year after I started blogging I added updates about my mom. My life as a homeschool mom that was part of the Sandwich Generation.
I wrote reviews for This Old Schoolhouse.
I wrote about curriculum choices and homeschooling four kids while taking mom to doctors appointments.
Then mom passed away.
Two kids moved out.
I wrote about grief and new seasons.
I wrote about friends in my computer whom I got to meet in real life at a thing called a blog conference.
I became a contributing writer for both Must Love God and HSBA Post.
I blogged about new purpose and how I wanted to be an Intentional Blogger.

I gave my blog to God. Prayed He would use me.

Just this last month He has given me a hope of a full sponsor for Allume, I was invited to Disney on the Road in Seattle in June. He has made it possible for me to attend Teach Them Diligently Marketplace in August, and I have been accepted as a contributing writer for Homeschool Blogging
I am honored and humbled by the blessings He has given me all because of a little blog.
Do I consider myself a ‘big blogger?’ No.
It was at Relevant ’11 (now Allume) that I decided if only 1 reader was impacted by what I had to share, then it was enough.
You will see ‘Blogging for 1‘ as one of my categories.
Numbers don’t matter to me. They matter when it comes to looking for sponsorship, so yes, I do track them.

What matters to me is that I am obedient to Him with my writing.

Do you have a story of how your blog has come about? Share it in the comments! I would love to read about it.
