Homeschooling with Netflix: Christian Movies

Yet another part in my Homeschooling with Netflix series.
These are wholesome, Christian based movies that we have watched and enjoyed or had recommended to us.

A Warrior’s Heart
“Unable to cope with his military father’s sudden death in combat, quick-tempered teen, Conor, starts getting into serious trouble. During an intense lacrosse camp, his father’s old friend challenges Conor to get his life on track and become a man.”

Blue Like Jazz
“Life in a devout family has given Don a unique view of religious hypocrisy, so when choosing a college, he picks “the most godless campus in America.” This rebellion against his upbringing changes Don, often in ways he never sees coming.”

Escape
“Struggling to find peace after the tragic loss of their baby’s life, Doctors Paul and Kim Jordan escape to the islands of Southeast Asia. But paradise becomes a nightmare when he is kidnapped by human traffickers in need of a skilled doctor.”

Faith Like Potatoes
Must see for the whole family!

New Hope
“When Michael moves to a new town his senior year, he bumps heads with the school’s star basketball player, Lucas. Michael’s faith is tested as he endures confrontations with Lucas and becomes fascinated with Lucas’s girlfriend, Jasmine.”

Running Inside Out
“This Christian drama tells a story of forgiveness and redemption, following a young woman’s journey from college to career as she encounters love, success and unexpected crisis: an unplanned pregnancy”

Sarah’s Choice
“On the verge of a dream promotion to advertising account executive, single Sarah (Rebecca St. James) must choose between her unborn child and her career. Friends encourage her to opt for abortion, but a stranger and three visions illuminate the realities of her choice”

The Book of Ruth Journey of Faith
“Tolerance, compassion and faith are the keynotes of this moving Christian drama that illustrates the biblical story of Ruth. After being widowed, Ruth (Sherry Morris) travels to Israel, a land in turmoil, and struggles to create a new life for herself. She marries Boaz (Carman), of the Royal House of Judah, and he leads her to a greater understanding of God’s love. Their son Obed will become King David’s grandfather and a herald for the Messiah.”

The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry
“The lives of three 12-year-old buddies — sharing a carefree existence in the summer of 1970 — suddenly change when one of them, Dustin (Jansen Panettiere), makes an unexpected friend after cutting the lawn of 75-year-old Jonathan Sperry (Gavin MacLeod). As Jonathan shares lessons in faith with Dustin and his pals (Frankie Ryan Manriquez and Allen Isaacson), a spiritual transformation occurs in this Christian drama helmed by Rich Christiano.”

This is Our Time
“Five friends connected by their strong faith and belief in God set out to make a difference in the world following graduation. Their ambitions are high, their passions are strong, but will they have the courage to fulfill their calling?”

Unconditional
