I initially thought this would be like Liberty Kids. It was not. A group of high school kids go from scenes in history to other scenes discussing what they are seeing. The kids are not polite to each other. One is quite whiny due to no air conditioner then is too cold. One wears a R-shirt ‘I Rule You drool’ yet another says ‘you know she wets the bed, right?’ I am not sure how this contributes to our history. Maybe it is to appeal to teens today? My kids weren’t impressed.

In this episode they visit Boston July 10,1765,December 16,1773, April 16,1775, and then Lexington, MA April 19, 1775. The entire DVD only took about 30 minutes to watch.
The parts where people from history are speaking were interesting. More like Liberty Kids.

If you can get past the attitude of one girl, and the fact that there is one that just seems uneducated, it’s watchable, albeit not enjoyable.

You can purchase Learn Our History for $9.95
On a scale of 1-5 5 being AMAZING, I give it a 2. My kids said a 3. They liked it. My 9th grader found it interesting. I guess my hang up was the attitudes of the kids.

This from the company:

Our products are currently sold online at LearnOurHistory.com and by phone at (877) US HISTORY (that’s 877-874-4786).  While each DVD episode in the series can certainly stand alone, we have found that most parents want to purchase multiple episodes for their children.  With that said, there is absolutely no obligation and no minimum number of DVDs to buy.

We currently offer “The Birth of A Revolution” DVD as a special introduction to the Learn Our History series.  The title can be purchased for $9.95, plus $3.95 shipping and handling.  Along with the DVD, we send four free gifts, including a Learn Our History DVD storage case, a shoulder sack, a pair of binoculars and a Learn Our History sticker set.

Then, about once a month, we let our customers know when their next DVD is ready to ship.  As a convenience, we choose the next DVD to ship to the customer.  Each subsequent DVD costs just $11.95, plus $3.95 shipping and handling. We always notify customers at least 10 days prior to the shipment so they know it’s about to ship.  During that time, the customer has the option to skip the shipment or cancel from the series, both of which are easily done by contacting our 24/7 customer service department.

Once again, there is no obligation to purchase any DVD and customers can cancel from the series at any time.  Furthermore, we offer a satisfaction money-back guarantee with each and every video we sell.  If a customer is dissatisfied with a video, they may return it to us with 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price.

I received this free for my review. My opinions are my own.
