I don’t even know where to begin on this Prepper’s Long Term Survival Review…I really like this book THAT much.
Now, believe me, I have read my share or preparedness books. Fiction and Non-Fiction.
This book was different.

In the beginning of each chapter he has a fictional journal entry. He is journaling what life is like after an EMP.
I really enjoy these types of stories and feel I learn more from them than just a textbook.

Prepper's Long-Term Survival Guide (Review)

It felt like the author, Jim Cobb, was just sitting at my dining room table having coffee, or maybe a beer with The Principal, sharing his knowledge with us.

He covers it all:

  • Water
  • Food
  • Medicine
  • Hygiene
  • Shelter
  • Security
  • Tools
  • Entertainment (We all get bored)
  • Barter and Trade
  • Community

There is a recommended reading list in the back of the book, as well as lists for the above topics for supplies.

I really think this book is top notch, and I don’t say that lightly.
It is a great book for the beginner prepper as well as intermediate.
It is an easy read and there is a genuineness of the author that come through his writing.

You should buy it!

A COMPLETE, STEP-BY-STEP PLAN FOR SURVIVING ON ONE’S OWN RESOURCES
LONG AFTER A CATASTROPHIC DISASTER STRIKES

The deadly danger of disasters doesn’t end when the waters recede or the earth stops shaking; it has just begun.
The Prepper’s Long-Term Survival Guide goes beyond the basics of surviving
in the immediate aftermath of catastrophe
and teaches readers how to cope with the problems and challenges
that can continue for weeks, months, and even years.
Including everything from pre-disaster prepping tips
to post-catastrophe instructions for making life easier on the whole family,
the book is a bible for anyone who hopes to stay alive.
Prepper’s Long-Term Survival Guide balances hardcore planning
like purifying water and building emergency food storage
that doesn’t require a power source
with simple ideas that can make all the difference
like having portable solar panels to charge cell phones for vital communication
and laptops for much-needed family entertainment.

I did receive this AWESOME book free in return for my unbiased review. I was not being chased by Zombies or held against my will when writing my recommendation.
