The Day My Blog Went Viral
The little rant post I wrote about Boycotting Victoria’s Secret?
It went viral.
I had 30x (give or take a few) more views than a normal day.
105 Facebook shares.
32 tweets!
I was floored with the response.
But, then, I shouldn’t have been.
I had it scheduled for Wednesday.
I changed it to go live Tuesday. The same day as the fashion show. Which, incidentally, I didn’t know. I knew it was coming up, but I wasn’t entirely sure what day.
When chatting that evening with my oldest son about that one crude comment I received. I told him “If I had to read 100 more comments like that to get one person to turn off their tv, then it was all worth it. I Blog for 1”
I was reading the VS sponsored stream on twitter.
I'll most likely cry tonight from the jealousy I have towards all the models. #vsfashionshow

Young girls responding with jealousy….
or making themselves sick because they think these models look good….
#VSFashionShow is such a love/hate relationship. Love fashion, hate the message it sends about women's bodies.

love hate relationship….
If I got paid millions of dollars I would definitely starve myself to look perfect in lingerie on the runway #VSFashionShow

starve yourself for millions?
Can't wait for the gym tomorrow, so many girls going because they want the bodies like the Angels #VSfashionshow #FinallySomethingToStareAt

there were more like this than I’d care to admit seeing. It’s the guys with this attitude that cause the girls to be jealous or starve themselves
For all the girls who are watching the #VSFashionShow , you are all beautiful❤

Then there was this! The hope I saw in a single tweet.
"Many of the issues facing the world today can be solved by the abolition of the objectification of the female gender." .JMY #VSFashionshow

Then the words of my wise son…
I don’t feel my stand on this is over….I don’t know where God is taking my blog.
I pray you stay and enjoy the ride with me.
