We’ve Got Eggs

I don’t know if you know we have chickens. We got them last spring. Then we lost all of them to our Blue Heeler ๐ So we got more.
We now have 2 hens and 2 roosters.
Well some exciting news here at Red Rock Ranch.

We’ve got eggs!

We had gone outside to clean out the coop. And lo and behold….EGGS!
Boy Child #3 is much more willing to clean out the coop now that we are getting eggs.
It never dawned on me to start looking. Our first batch was around 20 eggs. So these girls have been laying for about 10 days already.

These Bogs are a MUST if you have animals to tend to. I got so much done because I wasn’t afraid of ruining my hiking boots or getting my feet wet. Let’s face it….Pretty is a must. Makes chores more fun.

The last of the wood cutting for the winter/early spring. We will plan better and have it cut and stacked before the snow flies next winter.
I do have a great post in the works for our Sunday’s chopping wood though.
There will be new friends, here at Red Rock Ranch, in the coming weeks. We plan to get goats and pigs. It’s going to be a regular Noah’s Ark around here.
