I am going to rant a bit. Rant, not judge. I am frustrated.
Last week I wrote a series on my sons pornography addiction. The day he confessed and his recovery.

My question is how is it even remotely ok for a “fashion show,” of this caliber, to be on tv?
Maybe it is on after 8 p.m., when most little boys are in bed.
There are still men that will see it.
Married men.
Engaged men.
Men that aren’t these ladies husbands.
The only men that should be seeing them in their underwear.

But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Matthew 5:28 (NLT)

This is a stepping stone people.
A stepping stone to curiosity. To get the wheels turning to what else might be out there.
Web sites?
Chat rooms?
Stepping stone to porn.

Not to mention the message it is sending to our girls.
How they ‘should’ look.
How they ‘should’ dress.
How men ‘should’ view them.

As objects?
Loved only for their body and not their mind?

Society supports this kind of television and in the next breath wonders why there is teen pregnancy or abortion debate.

It’s television like this that send the message that sex is ok. Disposable. Which, in turn, results in unplanned or unwanted pregnancy.
Then the girls or ladies have to make a ‘choice’ because it was just a fling.
Not a relationship with a man that loved her.
It was one night with a guy that saw her as an object.

Ok…so I went on a rabbit trail on this rant.
It is a vicious cycle.

A cycle that needs to be stopped.

My passion is to bring attention to the statistics of pornography.
How young kids start.
What triggers the curiosity.
Christian’s aren’t immune either, but that is a completely different post.

I pray my ranting doesn’t make you not want to come back to read here at Mama Kautz.
I pray seeds are planted or that my posts land on the right computer screens.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.

I am boycotting Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
